Hello, I’m working on this website, and I have a product with variations (colors).

    https://bluline.ro/lampa-kartell-cindy/

The button after selecting a color is not AJAX, and it doesn’t show any link on hover. Instead, it redirects to the check-out page, and clicking the mini cart in the menu above breaks and doesn’t open the side cart anymore, it just refreshes the page. A workaround to fix the mini cart is to add another product in the cart.

I don’t want to be redirected to the check-out page after adding to cart a product variation, I want it in the mini cart instead without breaking it.

Can anyone help me please? I can’t figure it out. I’m also using Elementor Pro.

    Thank you!

    Hey there!

It looks like the mini cart is being added by a plugin or the theme you are using, so I wouldn’t be able to really help debug that part (since it’s not using the WooCommerce cart).

With adding a product to the cart and going directly to the checkout page, can you check on this setting? (here’s a screenshot: https://cld.wthms.co/2RFRub )

Your theme/plugin might be adding a redirect to your checkout page as well, so if you are still seeing issues, I would recommend testing it with the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce active to see if that resolves it.

Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!

    Hello, thanks for your reply.

I’m not using any special theme, I’m using https://github.com/elementor/elementor-hello-theme and the WooCommerce settings are right. I thought it’s something from the php files because this applies only to variable products, it’s like there is another add to cart button, not the one that’s used by others.

    Hi @azkalex,

Do you have a link to a variable product? I skimmed through your site but not seeing one to try to replicate the behavior you were mentioning. As mentioned before, it sounds like checkout redirect is a theme conflict. If you temporarily switch to Storefront, does the same issue still occur (make sure to back up your site before doing this)? If not, please contact Elementor’s team.

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
