• I’ve only one product with 5 variations on my site. It was working fine but recently I’ve added two more variations and now if anyone purchases the newly added items, the item name shows twice on the thank you page and order emails. For example, if someone buys Jacket with color variation ‘Red’, it shows-
    Jacket- Red
    Color: Red
Anybody have an idea what might be the reason?

    Hi @mspsrijan

Could you share some screenshots of the variations that are showing the name twice, please? Also, a screenshot of the thank you page and/or order email. Thanks!

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
    Here’s a screenshot of product options: https://ibb.co/RQxkJrN
The variation attribute name is ‘Quantity’ and variations are like ‘5 (Receive 5 Footrests)’. It’s little weird but the client wants it this way.
And here’s the order email: https://ibb.co/6BcgS2w

    Hi @mspsrijan

Thank you for the screenshots – very helpful! I see on the screenshot of the order page, it looks like you’re using some sort of plugin to present the options differently. Is that correct? If so, have you tried disabling that plugin and trying the purchase to see how the variations appear on the order then?

Yes, we’re using Cartflows and some custom CSS. I’ve disabled Cartflows and the customization and placed an order with default Product Page>Cart>Checkout. Here’s the order details page: https://ibb.co/cxYTtfR

    Hi @mspsrijan

Thanks for trying that. Do you happen to have any theme overrides in place for your order confirmation page and order email?

This is how it looks on my local site: https://d.pr/i/6fz1Ut

So it looks like something is adding code to your order confirmation that’s including the attribute name in the title of the product (or in the place of the x1 quantity). The fact that the attribute is named Quantity is making me wonder if it’s causing some weirdness, too. You might rename that attribute to test that theory.

We’re using Astra free theme, we never had any issues like this with this theme.
The order emails are default Woocommerce emails, I just changed the default color from Woocommerce settings.
And the attribute name ‘Quantity’ was working fine before I added two new variations.

I tried switching to the default Twenty Nineteen theme and change the attribute name to ‘Package’, didn’t solve the issue.

Thank you for trying both of those things, @mspsrijan. The only thing I can think of to try at this point is a full plugin conflict test. You would need to disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and see if the issue still exists. I assume you’re also running the most recent version of WordPress and WooCommerce?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you have any other questions please feel free to start a new thread.
