Variation not working with Name your price

We are a non-profit organization and need name your price so that we can accept custom amount from our donors.

We have created a few variations of amounts that donors would like to donate but if they want to donate some different value then they can use Name your price.

But as someone checks a variation set price and adds to cart the default value from Name your price is getting added even if nothing was input in the name your price field. We want Name your price only to work when an amount is input within it.
