    Hi,
I can set each separate variation of a product as “Giftable”, but there is no ability to set up a gift option category, with different conditions, for each VARIATION. So, you can’t give away one gift for one variation and a different one for another variation.

The gift category section only allows you to choose the ‘whole’ product and not it’s variations, to setup gift conditions for.

Without the ability to change how each variation is treated, the variation feature is basically pointless. Hope this makes sense?

hi @mrretail – your use case is specific and it would be hard that one free plugin can do all the magic for everyone and out of the box. We still think gift should be something simple without complications as seen on amazon, ebay, rakuten – as up-sale and cross-sale are doing amazing jobs in eEommerce world.

    Hi @decomteam
I have already come up with a work-around for me, but I thought it important for you to know that your variations feature does not work correctly. It doesn’t work for buy one get one free either. To be honest, I thought my request WAS simple and not complicated at all. I wanted to offer a less expensive gift for the cheapest variation of a product and a better gift for a dearer variation.

Looking at your replies to most support queries on this plugin, you seem intent on coming up with excuses not to fix the issues raised, rather than actually deal with them. Just because this plugin is free does not mean you shouldn’t make it the best it can be within the confines of the features on offer. When people love your plugin, especially because it is free, they are more likely to buy other services from you. Seeing little to no support on the free plugin will not help sell your other services, nor will users recommend you to others.

Dear @mrretail I will only say that we never created a plugin to be BOGO (buy one get one), you will see that in all replies – it maybe look simple and logical but not all things are like that in development – as plugin isnt created for every ‘use case’.
