Variations not working dynamically

    Hi,

    I’d like to achieve the following on my product page but it seems that there’s a glitch preventing this: When the visitor arrives on the product page, there’s a default price and size variation already showing. When they choose a different size, the price changes and shows up automatically, without them having to click on “Choose an option”.

    If I also set the price default, it shows the visitor only that one size and price combination, which is really weird, so it seems to not work as it should.

    I tried a bazillion things to solve this with the help of Chat GPT without any luck. Here are some of the things I did to troubleshoot:

    • Checked that the reason is not an interference with another plugin.
    • Checked that it’s not related to my theme (I have Kadence full bundle) – problems shows up on a different theme as well.
    • Deleted and reinstalled Woocommerce.
    • Deleted all variations and created them again.
    • Deleted browser’s cache and checked in a different browser (I don’t have any caching plugins activated since I started building the site).
    • There are probably more things I did but there were so many I might have forgotten some.

    I wonder if it’s not a glitch and wether it’s just me not setting up things properly. Or maybe Woocommerce simply doesn’t offer what I’m trying to achieve?

    Any ideas why this is happening?

    I have the same problem on my site.
    I’m still not able to fix it. I figured out only that some themes are even unable to show the page with variants. The recent one is able to show it, but the page is somehow truncated. I’ll be happy if anyone is able to help me fix this.

    Well, I feel really silly now because of all the time I wasted on trying to solve something which turns out is not a “problem”. I was trying to achieve something pointless because there’s no need to add a price attribute. You just add the Size attributes and add the price of each size in the Variations. In other words, I don’t need two drop down menus. The price shows up below the size when visitor chooses the size.

    I’ll go hide in the corner now!

    @essaie It seems that you don’t have quite the same problem. Are you sure that you set up everything correctly? Here’s the screen recording from Kadence support that was sent to me – maybe it can be helpful to you too:
