  • I don’t think we know yet for sure if its a theme issue. I think the thing to do next would be to reduce your install to its simplist possible configuration, ie only WordPress, WooCommerce and the default theme. I’m sure that combination works because otherwise this forum would be inundated. Then focus on the setting up the attributes and variations until it works. If so, put the other elements back one-by-one and check.

An unlikely possibility is that you have an incomplete or corrupted WooCommerce install. If you delete WooCommerce via the dashboard you would lose all your settings, so, using ftp, delete the WooCommerce plugin directory and replace with extracted files from a fresh download. Delete the old files, don’t just overwrite them.

Ok I will try that. I have an ultimate product catalogue plugin currently installed (I was working on using this before woocommerce so it’s how I added all my products). Just a thought that this may be conflicting but don’t want to delete it and lose all my products.

Ok so, I deactivated all other plug ins apart from the ones you said. Went onto the product with a variation, deleted it and then re added the variations and now it works! Plan is to re-activate plug in’s one by one and see if any are throwing it out….

Just tried adding variations to other products and it’s not working on the new ones again – so odd!
