Im just trying to create one product at a base price and if you add extras they cost and yet I cannot do it. It will not give me a base price for variable product and not sure how this works after going over documentation. I just want product x and a few addons which cost extra thats it. Any help is appreciated.

Well to simulate that you can have the very first variation set as the base price and all other variations with extra cost.

yes but that’s not working, I set up the first and thee are no drop downs for the other options within the first option. Also the other variations are not giving me options to change the name. Right now if I set up a variation its basically for colors, sizes and etc which would be the same price but each of mine are different prices so its over complicated for what I want.

If that doesn’t work for you then I would suggest this extension here https://www.woothemes.com/products/product-add-ons/

yeah I saw that but didnt want to spend money yet because Im not sure how the site will work. If things work well I will switch to this extension and until then I just created the options as other products. Thanks.
