• My new server running Varnish cache and I have been using WP Super Cache for years. I am wondering should I drop WP Super Cache now that my new server running Varnish? Or are they both work together for the better?

  • If you have the Varnish cache configured correctly then you probably can stop using WP Super Cache but the plugin might be easier to configure and offer more features.

What kind of features are we talking about?

Just look around the advanced settings page, the CDN page, the debug page to make debugging problems easier..

I haven’t looked at Varnish in years so I would say “try it and see”.

As for CDN I don’t see any instruction for Cloudflare. Does it work with Cloudflare? I never use Cloudflare until now. In the past, my old server configuration just doesn’t work with Cloudflare. So I tried it and then passed.

This server however seem to be working with it. I’m still keeping an eye on it. I know I am still having minor issues with proxy ip addresses. Sometimes it so 3 ip addresses, my server ip, cloudflare and my location ip.

Anyways, can I use WP Super Cache with Cloudflare?

I wouldn’t use WP Super Cache and Cloudflare at the same time. They both cache pages and sometimes page caches aren’t deleted properly.

The CDN feature in the plugin is something different to Cloudflare.
