Varriant display per product

Hi,

Im using wordpress 5.2.2 and i realise that this is may not be fully supported.

I am using the API to update the table data i.e. “meta:can_be_backored” and ths works fine on simple products and is picked up by stock status fields in the product admin panel.

My issue is, it doesnt seem to work for variants and although the correct table data is in the data base the stock stus fields in admin still show the defaults.
