VAT not showing for guests

    Hi,

    I came across a strange issue yesterday, all prices are set to show with VAT included, when logged in as admin all prices show correctly, but when logged out prices are not showing VAT even though the settings are correct.

    I made a staging copy of my site, disabled all plugins except woocommerce and switched to storefront theme but still had the same issue.

    Has anyone heard of this or have any idea’s, thanks

    Hi there,

    It sounds like this might be related to a combination of the default customer location (set under WooCommerce > Settings > General) and your tax settings. Perhaps your admin user has a billing address set to an address where VAT should be charged, while your guest user is defaulting to a different location where VAT is not being calculated.

    Please check that setting above to see where customers are being defaulted to, as well as the “Calculate tax based on” setting under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax to see where the tax is being calculated for.

    Also, check to see if you see the same results if you try entering your admin account’s billing address on the Checkout when viewing the site as a guest.
