VAT Number not valid

    Hello, we run a e-commerce shop and yesterday VAT numbers started showing “You have entered an invalid VAT number (12345678) for your billing country (Country Code).
    No Settings were changed, no plugins deleted, updated or installed. VIES works fine and validates the numbers that show as invalid in shop. What can I do to fix this? I’m using EU VAT Number as a plugin to validate VAT numbers with VIES. Should I change plugin?

    If possible, please fill out a ticket for EU VAT Number here: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/
    We’ll want to look at this further, so a ticket for the correct plugin will help us do that.

    Same issue here. Started when VIES reported issues for Belgian VAT numbers.
    Yesterday I enabled the check again and all I get is You have entered an invalid VAT number (12345678) for your billing country (Country Code). Same issue for Austrian and Dutch VAT.

    Hoping for a quick response else I’ll be forced to replace the plugin.
