I’m facing a bug where the plugin syncs variable products without VAT. simple products are synced with VAT.

    Hello @philipp-thom

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help. I have just tested a variable product and adjusted the tax settings (Prices entered with tax) and I am seeing the tax values getting updated to Zettle correctly (you need to update the product before they update), so I am not seeing any issue as you describe.

If you believe there is still an issue, please provide more details of what you are seeing. You might also want to provide some screenshots of what you are seeing and some of the settings. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://zettle.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hi Joost,

now I found out what causes the problem. Variable products with VAT setting to take vat from parent product won’t sync with vat. They sync only with net prices.

I suppose your code is not checking this or is not fetching the vat settings from parent product.

    Hope you can fix that.

    Hello @philipp-thom

I don’t think this assumption is correct. I think that only 1 tax rate might be synchronized. In the Zettle “Account & Settings” you can find the tax settings that are handled in the store. If your tax setting is not the same amount as shown there, the price/product will not sync.

I have also used the setting “same as parent” and am not running into any issues. Only when I adjust the tax rate of a variation, then the entire product stops to sync to Zettle.

Please let me know what your findings are, so we can see if we need to take a look into this. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum or have many details to share with us, please open a ticket with our service desk. Hello @joostvandevijver,

    thank you for your answer.

I checked the products and I must update them to resync them with Zettle. I did a bulk edit with a dummy edit to trigger post update. Now they synced correctly.

What I assumed was that when the products got updated they will be resynced with correct prices and taxes.

But there must have been any problem with sync maybe from cron or an other trigger.

It doesn’t matter which tax setting is used, like you found out correctly.
but the products must have a post update hook to cause resync and then they are fine in product library at Zettle.

The ticket can be closed now, until I get a vaild reason for the unsynced tax settings.

What ever causes products to get wrong tax setting, could be an other plugin that in incompatible with zettle sync.

Thanks for your feedback @philipp-thom and let us know if you isolate any possible cause, so we can take a look as well when needed.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
