Vega- front Page Error

  • I made some simple changes to some headings on my front page (via front page edit) and it completely deleted a huge chunk of my front page coding. The primary photos disappeared, all the blog pasts. I was pretty much left with a footer. This happened 4 weeks ago and my website provider kindly reinstalled the previous days version of my website which fixed the issue. However now I cannot do any edits in fear of it happening again. Any ideas, what caused this and how I can get to the bottom of the issue?

    That sounds pretty unnerving, definitely wouldn’t want to risk that happening again. If you were editing the theme files directly, a single character out of place could cause something like what you described. Probably the simplest way to do it safely would be to let us know what changes you’re trying to make, and then we could suggest a safe way to achieve them.

    Really nice site, btw…you’ve done great with it!
