I’ve been using w3t on many sites for a long time, but just noticed that on several sites, under the plugins folder, w3t size is over 40 MB, with most of that in the /vendor/aws/ folder.

I don’t use aws, so I’m wondering if that’s just normal, or some type of problem. My sites are generally quite small, and I mainly only use page caching and browser caching.

    Hello @tonylocalword

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.

I’ve checked this in multiple instances and the mentioned folder is only 4KB. Can you please check this folder and let me know which file is bloated? You can also download the plugin from here and replace this file or folder.

    Thanks!

The path is vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/data, but I couldn’t find any large file in that folder. It appears there are hundreds of smaller files (<100kb) in that directory, all totaling some 20-30 MB.

I have looked at several different websites and they all show almost exact same issue.

    Thanks

    Hello @tonylocalword

    Thank you for your feedback.
Again, the size looks normal in our testing. Please try to replace the folder manually from the link I shard in the previous post.

    Thanks!

I downloaded the plugin from your link and looked at the aws folder. It appears to be about 20MB, so a bit smaller than the 30 MB I see on my sites, but still seems quite large. Just to be clear, are you saying that this is the normal size?

    Hello @tonylocalword

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the size of the ?/vendor/aws/ folder is approx 20mb and this is expected due to the number of files required for the aws services.

    Thanks!
