Vendors cannot order own products

    Hello!

    With latest release 3.8.1, a vendor cannot order a product that they own. And this has wasted me an entire day to figure out what went wrong.

    As site admin, I also run a store on the website.

    1. I often need to test new products that are added to the site both for my shop or other shops.
    2. Moreover, I routinely receive orders via WhatsApp, chat or phone call. I generate the order from the frontend and pass on the link of payment page to the customer. Now there is no way for me to generate that order from the frontend. Backend admin side is the only option.

    Is there a way to disable this new feature? Possibly using functions.php is the child theme?

    In a recent update, Dokan has implemented a restriction that prevents vendors from purchasing products from their own stores. If you want to change this default behavior this will require proper customization from the Dokan codebase.

    We recommend hiring a professional WordPress developer who can help you with the necessary customization.

    I use the woocommerce_before_add_to_cart_button and it seems to not work for vendors anymore

    This was indeed, a TERRIBLE idea. Don’t you think that this type of LIMITATION should be a toggle that the admin of the site should be able to turn on/off? In fact, ANY LIMITATION added to the tool, unless is security related, should be an toggle in the settings panel. Can you advise where is this code and how we can revert it? Thanks!
