[23-Jan-2024 15:37:06 UTC] Payment gateway with handle 'wc-poynt-checkout-block' has been deactivated in Cart and Checkout blocks because its dependency 'poynt-collect' is not registered. Read the docs about registering assets for payment methods: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-blocks/blob/060f63c04f0f34f645200b5d4da9212125c49177/docs/third-party-developers/extensibility/checkout-payment-methods/payment-method-integration.md#registering-assets

I just updated it to the latest version. Now, every time the checkpage is visited, it sends the above notice.

Also on the Plugins page (plugins.php). It lists “Configure” twice under your plugin. The second “Configure” link goes to “/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=checkout&section=pay_in_person” – I do not have pay in person enabled. The page displays, “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

The PHP error created when visiting that page is:

[23-Jan-2024 15:43:37 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_base_country() on null in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-shipping-fedex/includes/data/data-service-codes.php:13

    Hey,

Our team would love to dive into this further with you in hopes of finding a solution. Since we are limited in assistance through the forum, would you mind going here and filling out the form?

You will still be working with me, so you don’t need to type out all the information you’ve already shared above, but just mention that you were speaking with Amber regarding the GoDaddy Payments v.1.7.0 issues and I’ll grab it!

    I really appreciate it. ??

    All the best,

    Amber

    Hey there,

Thank you for awaiting my response. It took a bit longer because I was informed they were releasing a new update to fix this issue within the next few days. They have now released this new update. Would you mind updating your GoDaddy Payments plugin to our newest version (1.7.1) and let me know if it fixes your issue?

    Thanks ??

    All the best,

    Amber

    Just to note.

WP Version: 6.4.3, PHP Version: 8.2.15 (Initially tried latest 8.1.X)

New WP and Woocommerce installation. Added latest 1.7.3 GoDaddy payments gateway to woocommerce but could not get anything to display below “Pay securely using your credit card.”. Downgraded to GoDaddy Payments version 1.6.2 and works without issue.

PHP Notice(before downgrading GoDaddy Payments): Payment gateway with handle ‘wc-poynt-checkout-block’ has been deactivated in Cart and Checkout blocks because its dependency ‘poynt-collect’ is not registered. Read the docs about registering assets for payment methods: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-blocks/blob/060f63c04f0f34f645200b5d4da9212125c49177/docs/third-party-developers/extensibility/checkout-payment-methods/payment-method-integration.md#registering-assets

    Hey there,

Thank you for trying the new version, and I’m sorry to hear that it’s not working for you. Thank you for also letting me know the PHP notice, along with what version of WordPress and PHP versions you were using. I’m going to pass this along to my team to see how we can get this fixed. I will reach out once I hear more. Please be advised that we are not here over the weekend, so I probably won’t receive a response until Monday, but I will reach out as soon as I hear back!

    All the best,

    Hey there,

May I ask if you are using blocks checkout or WooCommerce shortcodes for your checkout?

    All the best,

    Amber ??

I still get the PHP Error below but checkout is working. Checkout page created with Divi and does not contain the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode or the woocommerce/checkout block.

    WP 6.4.3
    WooCommerce 8.6.1
    GoDaddy Payments 1.7.3
    PHP version 8.1.27

    Hey there,

Thank you for letting me know what versions you are using, to include that you are not using shortcodes.

Since you are using the most updated versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, GoDaddy Payments and even PHP, I’d like to see if there is a theme conflict happening.

As a first step, I’d like to see if it might be that a conflict is responsible for this issue, and I’d like to try to rule out a theme conflict first. Would you please temporarily switch to a default theme, such as Twenty Nineteen, and let me know if the issue persists?

You can do this without disrupting your live site by using a staging site or by using the Health Check plugin which you can download from the link.

If you use the Health Check plugin you can access troubleshooting mode by going to Tools > Site Health > Troubleshooting.

If it does persist, not to worry, I’ll have some other troubleshooting steps for you to follow. If swapping themes does resolve the issue, it would appear to be a theme conflict.

Would you please let me know how the theme switch went?

    All the best,

    Amber ??

    Hey there,

It has been a long time since we heard from you, so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved.

If you’re still experiencing issues please take a look at our FAQs for more information and create a new thread if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Amber ??
