    when i updated to version 2 the edit-section disappears when editing pages or posts. When the edit-webpage opens the edit-section gets hidden but you can make it visible again by using the “screen options” overlay at the top to turn off/turn on the visibility of the edit-section. You could say that since update the editing page is totally ignoring screen settings. That affects also the “Expand the editor to match the window” option.
    I’m still trying to find out which combination of plugins causes this.

    Something that may not be a bug: i’m missing the opportunity to save text in your widget without <p></p> tags

    Hi bahuett,
    the first part of your message is not clear. The plugin sould not affect editing of pages and posts (unless you are using Page Builder or similar plugins). I do not have any “Edit-section” option in screen options. Maybe is it something provided by another plugin?

    As for the <p> tags I confirm that it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. Automatical addition of <p> tags is the standard behavior of WordPress editor for post and pages. Older versions of the plugin did behave differently, but the new one has been aligned with native WordPress behavior. Anyway this change only affects users that work only in HTML mode. In this case I’d suggest to go with the default WP Text widget, that has an option for that (in future I could evaluate such an option for our plugin too, but I think it’s not really necessary).

    Anyway, if you don’t want <p> on your BSTW widget, you may also use the snippet reported at the end of this topic.
