I update to 3.2.6 and run preload. It does created the cache. But after 20 minutes or so, the cache pages are gone, disappeared. The minify files are still there though. This is the same problem I encountered in 3.2.5. I am reverting back to 3.2.3 for now.
    Please correct the problem. Thanks.

Something else I want to added. Even when I manually visit the site, I do not see my visited pages being cached, as confirmed by checking the cache folder in pcontrol panel. The cache function seem broken.

  • @francoc30 Could you please try to purge the cache and preload the urls again and check if the cache files remain as it is? As we have tested 3.2.6 version and it works for us.

Also please to upgrade/downgrade your PHP version and check if it helps to fix the issue.

I tested it on a test server and the problems with the cache function of version 3.2.5 remain in version 3.2.6.
Preloading doesn’t work and visiting the site pages doesn’t lead them to be cached.
I had to revert back to version 3.2.3.

@webpart Could you please try to upgrade/downgrade the PHP version and then update WP-Optimize to latest version and check if the preloading works?

We are using wordpress 6.0 over php 8.0
    Any incompatibilities with versions 3.2.5/3.2.6?
With version 3.2.3 everything is ok

    Hi Harshad,
I retested wpo 3.2.6 on my dev site. I purged cache and minify files first, then ran preload. The preload stopped at one point showing 209 out of 276 urls preloaded. The Cancel button on the Preload tab remained. I think the process has not been completed and froze. I waited close to 30 minutes and the preloaded urls were still in the wpo-cache folder. Then I visited the site. The few pages I visited load fast as expected. Then suddenly, the load speed reverted back to no-cache mode. I checked the Control Panel and found the previously cached files disappeared. The cache urls that remained are from my visit to the site as evident from the files timestamp.

There are no unusual php error other than the usual but annoying warning:
    20220623T105911: ccpst.com/dev1/index.php
PHP Warning: mkdir(): File exists in /my-path/public_html/test/dev1/wp-content/plugins/wp-optimize/cache/file-based-page-cache-functions.php on line 124

Hope my description helps in your troubleshooting.

    My php version is 7.4.10

@francoc30 We have tested this and there’s Fatal error reported when running the preload I’ve reported this to our development team for further investigation.

Hope they can fix all these soon. It is getting messy.

@francoc30 Yes we will fix the issue in next release
