Ver. 3.3.1 give version error and breaks other plugins

After installing 3.3.1 I get the error about my PHP version not being current. Not only that, but it appears that unless I deactivate it all subsequent plugin activations also die!
I rolled back to an earlier version and all is well.
Fix your code dude!
