After update to Yoast ver. 7.6 WPBakery Page Builder Version 5.4.7 editing facilitates (Frontend Editor & Backend Editor options) disappeared from posts and pages. Was just left with default Visual and Text

rolled back to version 7.5.3 and issue disappeared

I tested this on three websites with same result.

Can you confirm you are on WP v4.9.6?

That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO for WordPress is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts. You can either do the conflict check manually or install the Health Check plugin and enter maintenance mode so you can revert to a default WP theme, deactivate all plugins, and then begin by turning it on one by one, starting with Yoast SEO, and then WPBakery Page Builder.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

I have the same problem with AVADA !

rolled back to version 7.5.3 and issue disappeared..

    Same issue

    Yoast SEO 7.6
    Consulting Theme 4.1.3
    WP 4.9.6

Can you also check for JavaScript errors? You can do so by performing the following steps:
    * Open the configuration wizard again.
    * Press control+shift+j (on windows) or command+option+j (on mac). This should open your browser’s inspector console.
    * Reload the page (press F5 on Windows or Cmd + R on Mac).
    * Take note of the errors (in red) that appear in the console, and either copy that text or take a screenshot, and share it here.

This will give us more information about what is going wrong. You can also use our extensive guide how to check for JavaScript errors.

    Thanks!

    No errors

If I take a look on a page that I am currently creating I noticed that the Yost SEO bar is also incomplete. There is no snippet information which is on my live environment where I haven’t yet updated the plugin. I can send screenshots for comparison, please ask me through mail for these images

I also have the Custom Permalinks plugin installed so yes that could be the issue

Thanks for the update @nightl. We’ll be releasing a patch soon that will fix the issue with the custom permalinks plugin.

@mikedewildt Great, so that is the same issue ??
