Verification failed

    I’ve tried to get 2 websites verified and both get a failed message. I’m using the html method (I have no idea how to use the other method) It worked like a charm on the websites I used it on yesterday.
    I uninstalled the ssl certificate for one site and that didn’t help.

  • @lysod The HTTP method won’t work until you place the verification files in the public directory of your website.
    In this case, I would recommend you use the DNS verification, we have a detailed guide on how to use DNS method along with a video.

    I have the verification files in the acme-challenge folder. I’ll have a look at DNS verification. The other website worked, not sure why these two won’t with html

    I got some help and got the websites verified by DNS. It was hard for me because the instructions weren’t the same for my host as the ones you had outlined. All sorted now. thanks
