Verification with Google
-
I’m developing a website https://www.NewEraPest.com.au Using WordPress and HostGator. I want to register it with the Google search engine. To do this I must verify my site.
I have tried the following, but neither work:
1. Adding a <head> section in the HTML of the home page and including <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”pFGSfFo1jztk7cH4l_E1-usapG7YLMLG6nfEghnUstU” /> as supplied by Google.
2. Adding a TXT record below to the DNS configuration for newerapestcontrol.com.au –
google-site-verification=pFGSfFo1jztk7cH4l_E1-usapG7YLMLG6nfEghnUstUThe only other way is to use my Google Analytics account. Google say the tracking code should be in the <head> section of my page (presumably the home page) – but there is no <head> section there (apart from the one I added)
I’ve run out of ideas. Can anybody help me please?
