Hi @ahmadali99, thanks for getting in touch.

On the face of things, the 7.5.6 update shouldn’t have caused this behavior. Could you firstly try the process again in a private/incognito browser to remove the possibility of local caching? Secondly, try clearing any caches on your WordPress installation and/or your hosting area in case the updated files are not being loaded from the server itself.

If neither of those approaches remove the issue, please send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com so that we can look at your site ourselves. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,

    Peter.

@wfpeter I also experienced issues with verification, but only when copying the emailed link and pasting it into another browser window. If I just click the link in the email, it seems to work.

Hi @gotze, thanks for your input on this.

There is no referrer checking on these links as non-web-based email clients won’t return one so I don’t expect a copy/paste to behave any differently to a clicked link. When there’s a character such as a hyphen, the browser tries to highlight whole words and may have missed off some of the characters. It’s also possible for a mail reader to break the line at a point during a long string despite being in the middle of a link.

    Peter.
