    I have tried to install jetpack a few times on twenty fourteen theme and initially got an RPC error so modified jetpack.php and changed from AUTO JETPACK_CLIENT__HTTPS’, ‘AUTO to NEVER

    No I am getting a different error verify_secrets_missing error when connecting to wordpress.com

    Could you try to upload and install this small plugin on your site, and then click on the button in your admin bar to flush your site’s cache:
    https://github.com/georgestephanis/object-cache-flusher-button/archive/master.zip

    Once you’ve done so, try to connect Jetpack to WordPress.com again, and let me know how it goes.

    I managed to get the hosting changed to managed WordPress and it connected fine. Must have been a CPanel GoDaddy type of problem which they couldn’t fix or even view logs. It just wouldn’t connect to WordPress ever. It’s connected fine now
