Verifying site with google webmaster

    Hi,

    I’m tryin to verify my site with google webmaster central and it isn’t working even though ive tried multiple methods through youtube tutorials and wondering if it is to due with having maintenance mode on.

  • Hello @slimmyweight,

    You have 2 solutions:

    1. Try to verify your website using “HTML file upload” or “DNS” method.
    2. If you try another method I think it will not work because of the 503 header (which is a best practice if you put the website in maintenance). So… disable the maintenance, verify your website… and re-enable the maintenance after that.

    I disabled then re-enabled and fixed the problem, also had to do the same with paypal and stripe
