• Hi OoohBoi,
Version 1.4.3 is killing all Elementor animations and accordion opening effects in my website. When I deactivate the plugin, all goes back to normal. Would you mind taking a look at it when you have a chance. This is such an invaluable plugin, and I wish I could continue using it.
Thanks for all the work you have put into it.
    Best,
    HM.

Does the problem persist in Chrome only? You should not be using Chrome for the development purpose, this Browser is known to be resources hungry. And if you combine Elementor that is even more hungry for RAM than Chrome – you’ll end up buying more RAM for your machine.

Hi there. The problem affects both Chrome and Firefox. On this page (hmancuso.com) you’ll find an animation in the second section (green background). When I enable version 1.4.3, the pictures in this section do not even show.
In other parts of the website, where I use accordions, enabling version 1.4.3 prevents the accordions from opening. I guess something is blocking the script.
Please notice that up to version 1.4.2, and all animations and accordions behaved as expected.
By the way, I agree about using Chrome and RAM hogging.

I didn’t find any accordions being used on your website (https://drive.google.com/file/d/16U-UtrHo37vnnZntsDiPWc_GUiqbc6Ft/view). Do you have steroids enabled on your website or not? It looks like you don’t coz I can’t find its CSS. The page source code seems to be compressed. If you use some WP plugin to merge/minify JavaScript files and CSS – that might be the problem. Try to disable all plugins but Elementor, Elementor PRO, and Steroids for Elementor then see how the page looks like. As a side note, try to switch to “Hello Elementor” theme. Other than that… I don’t know what else I might suggest.

I can confirm, latest version kills Elementor animations. The error is as follows. Reverted to version 1.3.5, all works fine.

+1 To me the same ??
Can’t afford to keep it like that for so much time.. and if I deactivate it, unfortunately my layout break because I used “Breaking Bad”.

I suggest you to make the option that allows to enable the features in a modular way.. so if something is not working on other features, there will be an option to keep it good.

Please be sure that you use jQuery Migrate, the Chrome detection routine uses “$.browser” that is only available via jQuery Migrate.
By the way “jQuery Migrate” is enqueued with WordPress, how come you don’t have it?

    Article: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19352522/how-can-i-detect-browser-type-using-jquery

I removed it for “performance” purposes :). I will put it back and see if it helps. Thanks!

We remove jQuery migrate on most of our sites with WP Rocket as it doesn’t tend to break anything in our experience

Please, people, don’t just remove jQuery Migrate by thinking that you gonna speed up the load time, it doesn’t make any sense. It’s big bullshit. WordPress enqueues jQuery Migrate for reason. Besides, please read about the latest version here: https://jquery.com/upgrade-guide/3.0/#jquery-migrate-plugin

    Hi Oooh Boi.
Thought you’d like to know that I reenabled jQuery Migrate and activated the plugin and all animations and accordions work as expected.
I’ve also checked the “jQuery Core 3.0 Upgrade Guide” in the link you included. Thanks for your time and effort.
    All the best,
    HM

All works fine after reenabling jQuery Migrate, thank you!

It seems that WordPress 5.5 is planning to remove jQuery migrate by default..
