Are there any plans to add in custom footer text? I’m hoping to output some standard copyright and contact text in the footer where the page numbers are located. Can’t find that in the code to modify. Would be a great addition.

Thanks for forking this!! I was a user of the old plugin and had hacked it to death…

Custom footers are in the development version (there are a number of issues with the development version yet, so you may want to hold off installing it, unless you just want to check out how the custom footers work.

The footer in TC{DF is essentially a single “cell,” thus, tables do well in the footer, as you may divide the footer into columns more easily.

To get an idea of how footers might look, check out my sandbox. There are a number of pieces under development and testing, so don;t expect everything to work on that test blog. ??

Footer options include vertical and horizontal positioning, margins, fonts, and of course, a box to enter whatever HTML you’d like.

I should probably start a thread (or group of them) for upcoming features, and make it/them sticky.

    Cheers

Sounds and looks great! This is exactly what I’ve been holding out to see – seems like 2 years now. I get many requests for print outs of material. That footer will serve as a Copyright helper and a contact call to action. Thanks! Donation sent your way to help development.

    Hey, thanks, Greg!

Now I really have to get the next version pushed out the door! ??

Seriously, the holdup on the next version (at this point), beside the usual bug fixes for stuff which isn’t quite working as expected in the development build, is configuring an adequate upgrade facility, as so much has changed between the 1.0 and 1.1 versions (more like 2.0, but I’m not anxious to just increase major version numbers). There are a slew of new options to set in the database and I want current users to be able to just upgrade their existing installations without losing their settings and generating a bunch of additional support requests from stuff which might break. So, stay tuned. Watch for the next trunk (development) drop, which will hopefully be a little more useful than the current one, and which will have the custom footer option in it.

Cheers, and thanks (again) for your donation, which is truly appreciated.

    Lewis
