version 1.2.8 opening big on iPhone

The version 1.2.8 theme is not condensing when opened on an iPhone when the page is first loaded. If I double tap the screen, it does, but not automatically. What could be causing this? Version 1.2.4 did not do this. I know it is not my site in particular because your demo theme also does this. Thank you.
