    Guys,

Version 2.0.1 fixes the front-end issue of the Review block but makes editing a page extremely slow. And it seems progressive so the longer you edit a page.

When I type, it takes a few seconds for a letter to appear at times. It’s miserable. Disable Otter and things are back to normal.

Already tried refreshing the cache and all those usual suspects.

It was SO bad I had to revert to 1.7.5 (and redo all the CSS customization) ??

    Please look into this asap.

    Thanks.

Same problem here, with last versions (2.0.0 / 2.0.1) of Gutenberg Blocks by Otter.

    Hey there,

Thank you for all the reports. We’re running an audit to see what might be causing it. 2.0 was a huge release (over 20,000 lines of code were added/changed) so that’s why there have been some bugs.

But rest assured, we’re working on it and will find and fix all of them. Thank you for all your reports and keep them coming as these help us in finding things that we miss during our testing.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

As Dong Ngo said : the more you edit the page, the slower it becomes.

I noticed that when I save the page, quit the editor and come back to edit, it is much quicker than before. But becomes slow again as you type ??

For now, I’ll suggest you to clear browser data as that will make things quicker in general. Gutenberg is already slow so I personally don’t notice any slowness. ?? – but that’s my personal experience, I’m sure that if enough users think Otter has become slower after 2.0, there must be something causing this.

I cleared all my browser data & history, but Gutenberg + Otter is still slow as I type some new content. There was no problem with v1.7.5. I wish you good luck to fix this ??

    Hello @mrmarket62 ,

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delayed response on our end!

We are currently investigating multiple ways of further improving the performance of Otter as we managed to find some cases in which slow typing appears, and we already have some internal solutions that are being discussed for the next release.

That being said, we thank you all for the patience and we advise to keep an eye out for the next version of Otter.

    Have an amazing day!
