• Since version 2.0 ships all data to Stream’s servers rather than storing it on the local server this plugin can no longer be used by participants in the U.S. healthcare industry.

Stream does not offer HIPAA compliant servers and does not sign a necessary Business Associate Agreement as required by the law.

  • Sorry to hear Stream won’t work for your specific application. We know it won’t be for everyone, which is why all previous versions which use the WP database for storage will always be available on GitHub.

I know you are leaving a 1 star review because you are upset about the 2.0 version not being suited for your particular needs. There are so many world-wide laws it’s actually impossible to accommodate everyone. Which is actually pretty sad.

For this reason, we are planning to release an on-premise solution to run Stream’s secure stack. We know that this will empower more people in “locked down” situations to be able to track what’s happening in WordPress.

    Hello again,

So is this on-premise solution onthe way ? I have a similar problem as fox7.

    Thanks for your feedback

Same issue… bummed when they moved logging into their own cloud. I’d love to keep using this on HIPAA sites, but obviously can’t.

In the scope of the original plugin this change deserves 1 star, if you view V2 as a wholly new plugin that’s not really fair.

    Hi fox7,

With Stream 3.0, we’ve rethought the way we’re handling the records. Everything’s local now, nothing stored in the cloud and no registration. I believe it should be fully HIPAA compliant.

It would be great if you could test it out, and let me know how you go. If you like it, please consider changing your review.

    Thanks,
    Luke
