Version 2.06 Page Template Option Is Missing

  • Hello,

    I recently upgraded to WordPress 2.06, but now the Page Template option is missing from the Write Page in the admin.

    I am in desperate need to create a new page using a PHP template I created, but have no way of doing so now. Am I missing something?

  • That could happen if there are no Templates that are considered page templates.

    For example, if you are using the default theme, deleting the links.php and archives.php will cause the Page Template option to disappear on the Write Page screen.

    If you do have a qualified Page Template it works just fine in 2.0.6.
