I just updated this plugin to 2.2.1 and this caused an Internal Server Error from the get-go which kept me from access the admin panel. So I ended up having to disable all plugins through phpMyAdmin in order to gain back access.

I cannot activate your plugin now because it tells me:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/***/public_html/fitjacy-en/wp-content/plugins/ithoughts-tooltip-glossary/class/ithoughts_tt_gl-admin.class.php on line 563

    Help?

I am uploading a minor bugfix patch, I hope it will solve your problem and you won’t have others.
    Thank you for your patience

updated to version 2.1.2 and trying to activate says

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/***/public_html/fitjacy-en/wp-content/plugins/ithoughts-tooltip-glossary/class/ithoughts_tt_gl-admin.class.php on line 654

So the patch does not seem to have fixed the plugin unfortunately. ??

I’m sorry to say this but no, a fix was not released because if it had been I wouldn’t have that issue. The initial problem happened with 2.1.1… then 2.1.2 was released and I updated and still have an issue, albeit on a different line. but it’s not fixed.

It’s sad that your updates broke something that worked flawlessly.

I can’t see those errors, and I don’t understand why. If I was able to reproduce them locally, it would be a lot easier…. But none of my environment supports PHP<5.6, and I take more time to install a deprecated version than coding a real fix….
Once this bug will be fixed, I will stop every PHP upgrades until I’ll be able to test down to PHP5.3. But please, understand that it is hard to one-shot a fix on a bug that I can’t see.

    Hello,

I’ve downgraded to PHP5.3.1, and now, everything seem to work fine. I hope the next release will fully satisfy you
