After WooCommerce updated to version 2.4.1, my Enfold ecommerce site has a sudden problem with the store. All variable products are showing up as not available with this error message: “Sorry, this product is unavailable. Please choose a different combination,” and not showing the designated image for the color variation.

I updated to 2.4.2 with no result.

I have set up a mirror ecommerce site migrating from backup files in a new subdirectory. It is running WooCommerce Version 2.3.13 and again works perfectly. It will remain Version 2.3.13 as that is the last version of WooCommerce that works for us so far.

I looked for the outdated add-to-cart template “https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/24-common-issue-variations-missing-on-product-pages?replies=1” but it’s not there

    Still an issue unresolved.

  • I am having this same problem as well. Woo blames theme makers and theme makers are blaming Woo – and their loyal users are caught in the middle.

It’s easy to tell; WooCommerce > System Status. You will see something like this:

Switching to the default Twenty Twelve theme can also pinpoint the cause.

@intellexualdesign Doing the above removes speculation – narrow down the issue.

I have done extensive testing and have narrowed down the issue to a plugin. Magic Zoom Plus, which interferes somehow with the variable product on the single product page—consequently WooCommerce marks it as unavailable and displays the error message. The product variations can be navigated and the selected image for each color comes up properly within a “Quick View” plus can be ordered and added to the cart in this way. So, the basic functions of WooCommerce seem to be working and the Magic Zoom Plus plugin is incompatible

I have the issue into the plugin author to see if he will provide an update to handle the incompatibility, if not I will go to another solution and test it again.

I wanted to give you the data for resolution—the themes I have tried are all compatible and all react in the same way to this plugin.

    Thank you.

This issue has been fixed with the latest version of Magic Zoom Plus plugin v5.12.34. All current versions working now.
