Version 3.3.0 Upgrade Information

    Please refer to the release post for complete information about the update: https://webberzone.com/announcements/better-search-v3-3-0/

    In particular, the Better Search database tables have been updated for more optimised mySQL queries. This requires you to login to your WordPress admin and run the upgrade script.

    Please backup your database before you proceed with the upgrade. As part of the upgrade, the plugin will also backup the existing tables which can be restored if needed.

    Hello,

    I have recently updated to Version 3.3.0 and the search results page is now no longer displaying.

    According to the above instructions I need to upgrade the databases manually on the site, but there is no prompt for me to do this. I don’t see the upgrade database button.

    Could you advise? Thank you

    Would you be able to look into your database and see if you have wp_bsearch_backup and wp_bsearch_daily_backup tables.

    Hi!

    I have the same problem in my projects. I have upgraded the database from plugin settings and I have tb_bsearch_backup and tb_bsearch_daily_backup tables. Could you help me with advise, please?

    After restoring database from backup there’s only tb_bsearch and tb_bsearch_daily with old data but the search results are still empty.

    I even tried recreating index but it doesn’t help either

    please can I have your websites. If the backup tables are there then the upgrade would have taken place. Once the upgrade takes place it updates the database version in the wp_options table. Setting is bsearch_db_version.

    For the search results being empty will need a bit of debugging. Are you able to try query monitor on the installs and tell me what query is being generated on the search results page.
