/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php POST action redirects to homepage for some plugins completely breaking them while Popup Builder v3.84 is installed. If I roll back to 3.83 all plugins work as expected.

  • Dear @jasonabmw ,

Thanks for getting in touch and reporting an issue.
To help you with it, we need to have more details on that.
May we ask you to clarify a bit which steps we need to take to reproduce the issue, please?

    Thanks,
    Popup Builder Team

I’m not entirely sure how to describe that, but I can tell you it breaks this plugin: https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/coschedule-by-todaymade/

And their support explained it like this:

The POST requests are redirecting to your home pages.

Instead of returning the post id we get redirected and the tests fail at that point. Instead of a post ID, we’re getting back an HTML site.

GET requests are fine, but POST requests are being blocked/redirected.

    Dear @jasonabmw ,

Thanks for getting back to us.
So, we have tried to install the plugin you have attached to reproduce the issue, but we got this error:
    https://ibb.co/KF3CNMy
We have tried to install both when our plugin is installed and when it’s uninstalled.

May we ask you to send us the website URL where we can see the issue live, please?

Looking ahead to hearing from you soon.

I’d like to confirm I too am getting similar issues.

When my website editor team are saving posts as drafts they are being booted to the home screen (the draft is saved, but they are kicked out of the admin panel). This does not happen for full site admins.

Another issue that seems related, is when a site editor uses ‘quick edit’ and saves a post, the front end of the website is actually loaded into the admin panel within the posts list table. (I was seeing our website preloader but used the inspection panel to remove it, I have attached a screenshot of the result) – as above it seems that a HTML page is being returned somewhere?

None of these issues happen for main site admins, only for our editing team.

This does not happen when I disable the popup builder plugin.

We are using the latest version of the plugin.
