It’s the green text which is an issue. Wherever it appears (throughout most NextGEN screens), the contrast between the colour of the text and background isn’t sufficient and it won’t pass accessibility tests.
This is accentuated by the text being quite small. I never had an issue with previous versions. The buttons (with white text on green) are also poor.
Not surprisingly, it fails the WebAIM accessibility test (text colour #9fbb1a against a white background #ffffff.
I don’t have any visual impairments but still struggle to read the green text, wherever it appears. Those with impairments such as colour blindness and similar would certainly struggle. It ought to be as accessible as possible and this, IMO, is a backwards move for the plug-in, despite the great new design.
I haven’t ever seen any other plug-in interface that uses such a poor colour choice for important text and contrast. I love the new design but this text colour is dreadful. There’s no harm in using the green as a general theme colour (I like the shade) but not for essential UI components.
