    Hi Henk,

    please share some basic info in order for us to be able to sort things out: WordPress version, PHP version on your server etc. Do you have similar issues auto-updating other plugins? Also, have you tried to manually updating BackWPup?

    Thanks, Cas

    @cas

    Earlier today I experienced some functional and performance problems. E.g. the menu and latest post widget did not show up at all. And, the page loading times were not normal.

    Therefore I deactivated the BackWPup plugin. That did not help. Next, I manually removed all the BackWPup plugin files. That did the trick.

    The plugin list I provided – see my earlier reply – shows version 3.0.3. Probably because of an inpartial update.

    Now, I manually installed the latest version of the plugin. And set and ran a task. Guess what? It works like a charm and my website holds ok. I will monitor it closely and let you know if it remains stable.

    > So, unfortunately I could not test the actual intended manual update – it was a fresh install now.
