    Bummer – but thanks for the update

    THANK YOU VLADIMIR! BRILLIANT! TONES OF PAGES WITH THE OLD SHORTCODE )

    I have to say, I like the new interface that is in version 4.x. Very nicely done on that part.

    Will 4.x eventually be updated to become compatible with version 3.x? I’d like to make the upgrade without having to recode old shortcodes.

    Yes it’s a good solution…
    if not i’ll do a roolback

    I’m sorry, but I didn’t like this update AT ALL. Frames don’t work, the nicest spoiler style doesn’t work (or accordition). This one doesn’t work properly in the old version (which I redownloaded, thanks) because it’s missing the dot before the title of the spoiler. Can this be fixed please? I was perfectly happy with the old version, but it isn’t even working properly anymore after the new one.

    Hello Vladimir,

    unfortunately, the new added line at the theme’s function file:

    update_option(‘su_compatibility_mode_prefix’, ‘gn_’);

    doesn’t work. I have too many shortcodes to changes on my numerous websites.

    It would’ve been nice to have had a WARNING so we wouldn’t upgrade. This’ll be great for new sites but I have 15 installs of this that were automatically updated before I knew it breaks everything. I had to remove and downgrade all of them. Even the latest version that’s supposed to fix a lot of this still doesn’t make my old stuff look right. All custom CSS is lost. PITA! Too bad. I’ve sent out warnings to our local WP Meetup group and other colleagues. This should’ve been released as a new plug-in and not overwritten what was working perfectly well.

    My question is if there’s any security harm in leaving the old version in place long term. Is there any chance you’ll make an update that will transfer everything correctly so we don’t have to manually fix every install?

    Well! What a shock to receive an alert from a colleague that the plugin was incompatible with WordPRess! I have just spent hours rolling a bunch of sites back to 3.9.5. On one of them I had made substantial changes to both the CSS (lost) and had edited a couple of the icon images (also lost). Then I got the bright idea to find a pre-upgrade backup and pull out the edited images to upload to the 4.X plugin, but the structure has so totally changed that there was no longer an images folder to upload them to.

    Problem is, if there is no chance of making a graceful transition to the new version, then it doesn’t sound like a great plan to keep a (aging) plugin that could cause problems. But if I upgrade I’ll lose all my styling changes. Bummer;(
