  • If you look at the browser console, you can see that your server returns this instead of valid data if you submit the form:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /home/xx/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/controller.php on line 97

    Your site is running WordPress 4.0.1 (which is almost a year old) and does not have wp_json_encode() function, it was introduced with WordPress 4.1.0.

    As you can read in Changelog, minimum requirements for Contact Form 7 4.3 is WordPress 4.2 or higher.

    WP is 4.3.1 now.
    “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.”
    But messages do not reach. I tried different email.

    I have the same error message “Unexpected token” on WordPress 4.3.1 and last version of Contact Form 7 and I don’t find a solution.

    Email are send but I do not have alert message when I click on submit.

    Someone have a solution ?
