I have a message in my WordPress dasboard to update to the new version of this plugin however it tells me I must update my PHP version first.
This is a problem because WordPress does not recognize the version of PHP that I have. When I contacted my host, which is Network Solutions, they have assured me that our website is operating on version 7.4. I don’t know why WordPress does not recognize this but it’s causing an issue as now I can not upgrade your plugin.
Can you look into this please?

This upgrade prevention and php version detection is handled by WordPress. So we can’t really do anything about that. I sounds like your hosting provider should fix the php version constant, which apparently is not set correctly. If they fix it, WordPress will recognize the version as compatible.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Rogier, thanks for the prompt reply. I have reached back out to our provider and asked them to correct the issue, but I am not confident they will, unfortunately.
But I appreciate the information on your end.
    Have a wonderful day.
