    Hello @beezer26164 ,

Thank you for reaching out and sending the screenshots.

In your screenshot of the notifications, I can see that there are social media posts published lately. The reason why some social networks did not publish your post can be related to the specific network connections itself.
I have taken a closer look at your website and social media channels. Because every social network has its own security and content standards, not all content is published directly. Posts from websites that contain explicit content and require age verification is not automatically published, because it might be blocked or held back by the networks (i.e. Twitter, Reddit, Instagram etc.).

To avoid this from happening again, please make sure to post content that meets the requirements of the different networks and the individual security standards.

It didn’t do this until I updated to latest version!

    Hello @beezer26164 ,

Thanks for your reply and the additional information. I am sure we can solve this together.

If some social networks display the notification that “Your post could not be posted”, please reconnect these networks first. Afterwards, try to post to the networks again.

Now it’s working intermittently. What Do I Do? It’s becoming quite annoying.

Thanks for your message, @beezer26164 .

If you can post to your social media channels the connections of your accounts in Blog2Social work fine.

If there are some posts that “could not be posted”, please make sure to share content that meets the requirements of the different networks.

In the following article you find more information on how to perfectly post to the most important social networks: https://www.blog2social.com/en/blog/best-social-networks-cross-promoting-blog-posts/

Now it either works fine for all networks or it can’t post to any and this one just popped up today for two networks. “Your post could not be posted, because your image is not available or the image source does not allow to publish” I don’t know what happened but ever since the update it’s been crazier than hell.

    Hello @beezer26164

    Thanks for the reply.

An activated Hotlink-Protection might cause the following error message for the two networks: Your post could not be posted, because your image is not available . Hotlinking describes the embedding of external images or videos on your own website. A Hotlink is generated, for instance, if somebody visits your website and would like to share one of your videos on his own website or on social media. Social media and online plugins like Blog2Social use Hotlinks to display your images in the article preview correctly. So-called Hotlink-Protection plugins deprive you and your community of this possibility and the option to share your images, info graphics and videos across the internet.

Solution 1: Uninstall all activated Hotlink-Protection Plugins. You can find eligible plugins on WordPress.

Solution 2: Please, select your htaccess-directory, check on the following entries and delete them if necessary:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?yourdomain.com [NC]
    RewriteRule \.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)$ – [NC,F,L]
    RewriteRule .*\.(jpe?g|gif|bmp|png)$ – [F]

These entries might prevent external services like social media and Blog2Social from resorting on your images and videos.

You can check your website for an activated Hotlink-Protection with the help of so called Hotlinking-Checkers. Free-Webhosting offers such a service for free. Just make sure to clear the cache of your browser (press ctrl + F5 in your open browser window) before you do the check!

I have no plugins for hotlinking, that was not in my .htaccess file. So what next?

    Hello @beezer26164 ,

    Thanks for the reply.

If your images are not hotlink protected and the mentioned entries are not shown in your .htaccess file the images are not posted because Blog2Social can’t access specific articles on your blog.
Taking a look on your blog before I saw that it is protected by an age verification and that some content is only visible for logged in users.

If your pages or posts are only visible to users who are logged in, they cannot be successfully shared, as our servers have no chance to see them.
Article and images you like to share have to be accessible from the internet for everyone. Otherwise our server can’t access the article and thus can’t post it.

I had things the exact way they are now and it worked fine. It worked for a couple of days and now it’s back to “Your post could not be posted.” on all networks. It’s frigging driving me nuts

    Hello @beezer26164,

we are sorry for your experience. We have tested every function of Blog2Social and it works out fine. We have seen, that you have customized your site and included some options like age verification that prevents the direct access for certain parts of your website. This is cruical for social media to read out your website and to fetch elements of your article like images texts etc. Since there was nothing changed, please have a look at the changes on your website that you made recently. Please also have a look at our “Troubleshooting-Tool”. You will find possible reasons for issues on your website. You can access our troubleshooting tool under “Help & Support” menu tab of Blog2Social.

    Best regards
