    When testing 5.4 on my staging area it has the effect of making the send button on the form not usuable. You can hover over it but cant click it.
    When i inspect the details after upgrade I see
    <input class=”wpcf7-form-control wpcf7-submit” type=”submit” value=”Send” aria-invalid=”false”>

    before the upgarde I see
    <input class=”wpcf7-form-control wpcf7-submit” type=”submit” value=”Send”>

    The botton as also shifted slightly left, its nolonger possible to hit submit. I am using Elemntor pro with Elementor Essential Add-On.
    Its a basic contact 7 form.

    I worked out what this is – you have made a change so this does not work with google recaptcha v3 – if i remove recaptcha the form can be submitted. I need to read why you did this and what is required if you advice please let me know. The summary of changes talked only about sendinblue no refence to a change to how the plugin intergrates or rather doesnt with recaptacha

    I’m also having this issue, will disable recaptcha v3 to see if this fixes the problem.

    I suggest you revert to the previous version. there’s some change or issue with 5.4 amd its integration. Hopefully there will be an update or details shared by @takayukister

    Thanks @yhberman I managed to fix the issue on my site. Not sure why but the send button was originally wrapped like this <p>[submit "Send Mail"]</p> not sure why it was wrapped in p tags like this as it was done several years ago but anyway, after removing those p tags it is now working again – maybe someone with more tech knowledge will know why but it’s now fine.

    @mattjenkins81 thanks but not sure that is the issue in my case. I am using a shortcode and haven’t defined the wrappers individually.

    I’ve seen this article which states ‘Contact Form 7 (5.4+) is not supported when using the native reCaptcha solution’ I don’t use complianz but am beginning to assume it applies elsewhere https://complianz.io/why-the-wp-consent-api-is-important-a-case-study-with-cf7-and-recaptcha/

    There is a link to a permanent fix with a contact 7 example to be merged to core potentially at some point in the article. Currently the options appear to be don’t upgrade, change to a different recaptcha or use wpforms instead.
    I will read further and try and udnerstand if this is the same issue and what is best to do to address. Fortunately I tested on statging and spotted the issue so live site is fine.

    I am using elementor and use the essential add-on but get the same effect if I use the shortcode.

    Ah thanks for the information @yhberman very interesting and my issue reappeared so I’ve rolled back to a previous version of the plugin and all seems fine but I think longer term I’ll look at other plugin options.

    @mattjenkins81 I have found threads talking about the latest version and google recaptacha in this forum. I hope the author fixes it soon.

    Decided given there’s been little update to the plug in and lots of noise in teh forum to use an alternate plugin. As I use elementor pro I have switched to the elementor form and have moved away from the contact 7 plugin completely (for now). It means 2 less plugins (And so 2 less things to update and test) as I used the dynamic text extension too. Will be interested when and if this is fixed.
