    Hello Takayuki,

    While using Contact Form Version 5.8.7 (latest version), emails are still sending duplicate emails to both “Mail” and “Mail (2)”, even with the following settings! I have read the forum and have not found a resolution to this problem.

    FYI: I have performed the following tests. (Note: all of these have been performed at once)

    1. Deactivated all Plugs, except “Contact Form 7” Version 5.8.7
    2. Changed my theme to “Twenty Twenty-Four”

      Versions used:
      Contact Form 7 – Ver: 5.8.7
      WordPress – Ver: 6.4.3
      Theme – hueman
      Server running PHP – version: 8.2.15.

    @takayuki Miyoshi, please address this problem, and recommend a preferred environment for testing Version 5.8.7.

    Hello @takayukister,

    I have an update for you. Despite testing CF7 with all plugins deactivated, I had neglected to clear the caching in WordPress. This oversight resulted in the email being sent twice even with only CF7 activated. However, after clearing the cache, CF7 worked perfectly when it was the only active plugin.

    The plugin that is causing the issue is “Optima Express + MarketBoost IDX Plugin”.  When this plugin is deactivated, CF7 sends emails properly, and when active CF7 sends 2 emails, per recipient.

    Here is the behavior of the form page when it’s submitted with “Optima Express” active:

    1. After completing the CF7 form, and clicking on the submit button, the message “Thank you for your message. It has been sent.” appears, with the green border around the form.  Both the WP admin and the person who filled the form, each get 2 emails (a total of 4 emails immediately.
    2. The URI changes from “https://MyDomain.com/2023-11-03-test/” to “https:// MyDomain.com /2023-11-03-test/#wpcf7-f9229-p18503-o1”.  But the URI does not go back to “https://MyDomain.com/2023-11-03-test/”.
    3. When refreshing the page, the CF7 message “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” appears with a red border around the form, and a Chrome message pops up saying “Confirm Form Resubmission”, with options of “Continue” or “Cancel” when clicked “Continue” it display the same error message, and when clicked “Cancel” it cancels and shows the same error message.
    4. The only way to leave the page and get to a blank form in “https://MyDomain.com/2023-11-03-test/&#8221;, is to click the browser back button and click on refresh, or manually delete “#wpcf7-f9229-p18503-o1” from the URI, and click on refresh.

    Unfortunately, I need “Optima Express + MarketBoost IDX Plugin”, there is no substitution for it for me!

    I would appreciate it if you would help me on this matter.  As I wrote before, I can provide the test link with DM or PM.
