• I’m using Pages in Widgets with Page Builder and, after a number of updates of various things that might have been the problem, I’m still stuck using v1.5 of the plugin, because more recent ones lead to shortcodes not running elsewhere on the page.

Since I’m using Page Builder, everything is in widgets, so it’s important that shortcodes run in other widgets for functionality such as post sliders and contact forms. v1.5 works perfectly – have you any idea what change you made since then might be preventing other shortcodes from running, but now just being echoed verbatim?

I get nervous running old versions of plugins… ??
    Thanks, Jon

I don’t suppose there’s any update on this is there? I just updated everything including WP to 4.6 hoping that it might all come right, but v1.7.1 still stops other shortcodes from running elsewhere on the page ?? so I had to revert to v1.5 again.

    Hi wwwolf

There is now an update i hope this helps your issue.

    Update Version 1.7.2

Thanks Jayden – I tried that, but it’s still preventing shortcodes elsewhere on the page from running, so I’m still stuck with version 1.5

If it helps, I’m using Page Builder, so the other shortcodes are themselves inside other text widgets.

    Thanks, Jon

Hi Jayden – I’m nervous, because I’ve thought this was fixed once before but, having updated several plugins and upgraded to WP 4.7.2, I have tried PIW v1.7.2 and this time it LOOKS like the issue is resolved ?? I’ve cleared caches etc and everything stil seems to be working correctly ?? ??

I suppose one of the other plugins must have been using a piece of broken or deprecated code that was causing the problem, and has now been fixed (fingers crossed!)

Thanks for your help earlier in the saga!! (And I will keep an eye on this, and get back to you if the problem reappears in any form.)
