Just to say that after the most recent update, version information is now no longer displayed in Posts. The information still exists in the records

    Many thanks

I just get an endless ‘timing’ circle. Sorry I cannot give any more help that that.

any javascript errors occurring… I need more information my tabs are functions normally.

Unfortiunately not. Version information is visible in the documents list and at the top of the post but nothing shows in the Versions tab. The only oddity that did occur was during the upgrade when the Pugin did not reactivate so had to manually do it.

This is probably not helping you much

hmmm… yes not much I will have a looking into this next week, see if I can find anything.

did the new version help fix your issue?

    Thread Starter paviland

    (@paviland)

Alas no. The version information is visible though when looking at Other Versions from the dropdown but still not in Post.

i’ve uploaded a new version again please test that out and let me know.

Sorry, but still no change. Wheel still cycling

    (@bhaldie)

hmm very weird.. with no javascript error I not sure what the issue is. Can you try and change your theme and see if the issue still occurs.

I now have Javscript errors for you :o) This cluster pops up for the offending page tab:

Blocked loading mixed active content “/wp-content/plugins/shiftnav-pro/assets/css/fontawesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0”

Blocked loading mixed active content “/wp-content/plugins/ubermenu/assets/fontawesome/fonts/webfonts/fa-solid-900.woff2”

Blocked loading mixed active content “/wp-content/plugins/ubermenu/assets/fontawesome/fonts/webfonts/fa-regular-400.woff2”

Although they relate to Plugins that controls the menus for the site (on full screen, ubermenu is used to create megamenus and on smaller screens it switches to shiftnav-pro. Both plugins are created by the same author) it is their use of Font Awesome that causes the problem.

First thing you can do is disable that plugin and then test again to see if the issue is still there. Let me know the results.

I get a fatal error when I disable the plugins:

I think talking with the developer of these plugins looks like being my next task to find out what is going wrong

let me know what you hear.

Have had some useful discussion with the plugin developer and have concluded that the navigation plugins are not the cause. Also, on looking more closely at the FireFox Browser Console, it looks like I misunderstood the output messages and in fact there are definitely no Javascrift errrors. So, now back to where we started : o(
