• When writing a blog, I like to create and save versions of drafts before publication. That way I can go back to earlier versions if I’ve edited out something that I later wish I hadn’t. I now do this by creating a new draft and copying/pasting the title, content, excerpt, and categories from the previous draft. It’d be easier if there was a “rollover” feature where one click could just “1-up” a version number and leave the rest unchanged. Note that the present version history that is available in WordPress does not do what I’m looking for. I don’t want a history of every save. I just want a history of several versions along the path to a final post.
