• Hi,

I am working on a wordpress website with a few colleagues (developers and data entry).

I know that WordPress has versioning but can this cause problems with multiple developers working together in the same website?

What would be the safest way (versioning, backup etc.) to secure this website?

    Many thanks,

    Sebastiaan.

  • What do you mean by versioning?
WP itself has a version, as do plugins and themes. Any CSS and scripts that are loaded have versions, which default to the WP version if not specified.

The post content has revisions, which are indicated by the post type and the parent field.

What do mean by “secure this website”?

By securing the website I meen that I want to be able to roll back errors made by other users. So if one user made a mistake I can return to a previous version of the site without deleting the work that other users have made.

    Thanks,

    Sebastiaan.
