Currently experiencing this error and warning:

Warning: require(/home/mbekker1/public_html/wp-includes/version.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mbekker1/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 30

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/mbekker1/public_html/wp-includes/version.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php’) in /home/mbekker1/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 30

I’ve checked, and version.php is indeed missing. I tried uploading it with cPanel, and it says the file transfer was sucsessful, but it is not there. I tried creating a new file and pasting the correct contents. It appears to be there, but I refresh the site and it dissapears again.

What’s going on? How can I get the file to stay there and fix the site?
