vertical alignment of input and button

  • I have an input field with a button next to it in my sidebar but I can’t seem to get them to line up vertically even when they are the same height. I have the display set to “inline-block” and tried using “vertical-align” but it’s not working.

  • Impossible to offer much help without seeing the page…

    Or use Firebug to work with the CSS…

    Have you tried adjusting the margins?

    I’m working on it on Instant WP so can’t give a link to the page. I can use positioning to line them up but thought there must be a more straight-forward way to do it.

    There may well be, but it’s impossible to guess without seeing it — sorry can’t help more.
