Vertical line spacing refuses to budge

Greetings —

I have thumbed through all the template files and have stripped away any mention of the “line-height” CSS style, and yet my “content” div (posts) is still showing paragraphs with double-spaced lines. No matter what I do (forcing a set line-height to “normal” in any number of CSS ways, inline in the div, etc) somehow they go ignored. As a programmer, I am completely stumped, I don’t see anything else that could be causing this — Does anyone know what is going on with this?
